Marketing the Green Living Festival

Marketing efforts include print, outdoor ads, poster, postcard, TV, radio, web and other media advertising, plus a coordinated publicity campaign, and networking through 200+ participants, all combining for millions of marketing impressions around Metro Detroit and beyond.

Print Advertising

Large display ads will be published in:

  • Natural Awakenings (May & June)
  • Natural Awakenings Pet
  • Oakland Press (12x)
  • Macomb Daily (12x)
  • The Daily Tribune (12x)
  • and many more

A smaller ad is appearing in Detroit Free Press - Michigan Green Leaders section.

A variety of web ads and banner will display in several targeted websites:

Television

 

For the first year, MI Green Team will advertise the GLF on cable television to targeted audiences through Comcast programs.

MGT will underwrite a week of MI Public Radio broadcasts.


Event Calendars & Events


The GLF will be listed in dozens of Michigan community calendars. MI Green Team members are promoting the festival at many events, including the VegFest and Green Street Fair. 


Website & Email Newsletters

The GLF will be displayed and mentioned in several participant websites and email newsletters, including the DTE monthly newsletter with 600,000 recipients.

 

Publicity


The GLF will appear in many articles, interviews and stories in a variety of media outlets including:

  • WJR Radio
  • WWJ Website
  • Peter Werbe Radio Show
  • Fox 2 TV

Fox 2 News will offer significant coverage of the GLF including: FOXe Reporter Robin Schwartz will be live on Friday from the festival in the 5 & 6pm newscasts. She will also tape "look lives" to air on the Saturday morning show. Additionally, Fox 2 will put the festival info on and add to its "Weekend Watch". Robin will do a "FOXe" story approx 1 week prior to the festival. MGT has also scheduled a morning in-studio interview with Roop Raz prior to the event. Thanks Fox 2!

 

GLF Wellness Programs Manager, Dr. Kerrie Saunders, will be featured in an interview on the Reaching Out program of Community Media Network, which will be broadcast in June on Oakland County public access stations.
