John was born and raised in Grand Blanc, MI. After studying in the Netherlands for a year, he attended Michigan State University where he graduated with high honors with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. He worked in SE Michigan as a retail computer store manager and medical systems national dealer sales director before founding CIVITEC Healthcare Computers. For 15 years, CIVITEC was a leading provider of computer systems for physicians, physician groups, managed care, and mental health agencies in Michigan, growing to 10 employees and 1.3 million in annual sales. After selling the company, John worked as a business consultant and planner for a variety of businesses. In 2004, John joined the board of Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center in Oxford, MI and co-founded the Earth Day Expo. From January 2008 through June 2009, Batdorf was the Executive Director of UHEAC, during which time it experienced rapid growth in revenue, cashflow, community/public relations and programming. In 2010, John co-founded and managed the MI Earth Day Fest which later was renamed the Green Living Festival, in order to move the event date. As general manager, John continues to produce a variety of events and programs to promote green living and wellness.

Dr. Kerrie Saunders, MS, LLP, PhD is an internationally known Presenter and Author with work featured in numerous newspapers, magazines, e-zines, and on radio. She has presented to audiences from Hawaii to Toronto, and her popular advice column, "Dear Dr. Kerrie," has been regularly featured in the award-winning, national lifestyle magazine, VegNews. She is currently the Coordinator of Michigan's Engine 2 Firefighter Challenge. Dr. Saunders began her career in 1987 as a Master's level clinical psychologist. After post-graduate work in research at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, she earned her Doctoral degree in Natural Health after post-graduate coursework at the University of Michigan, Miami University, and Clayton College. Dr. Saunders served as one of four Global Diabetes Moderators for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and she is currently working on the development of Nutrigenomics Research and Casomorphin Addiction. In 2003, Lantern Books of New York published her physician-patient resource book, The Vegan Diet As Chronic Disease Prevention. Now in its third print and Lantern Books Bestseller, it's a Must-Have for anyone serious about health. Dr. Saunders earned her Certification as a FirstLine Therapy Health Care Provider in 2006, and in 2008, her Cancer Project and Diabetes Food For Life Instructor credential in Washington, DC. She is featured as a Guest Chef at Providence/ St. John's Hospital Health Systems in Novi and Southfield, Michigan, and at Henry Ford Hospital Health Systems in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
